Meet Dave

Dave Bybee founded Accel CFO in 2018 and serves as the firm's Principal Consultant. Based in Phoenix, the firm delivers accounting, finance, and technology strategy and leadership to owner-operated and investor-backed businesses across the middle market.

His experience runs more than two decades deep: CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, and FP&A Director, across companies ranging from $10M to $950M in annual revenue, in industries including aftermarket automotive, manufacturing, advertising, and software. Along the way he has led diligence and transaction support for multiple successful buy- and sell-side acquisitions with owner-operated and private equity-sponsored businesses.

Accel CFO works with companies whose growth has outpaced their financial operations. The demand is there, the opportunity is real, but the systems and processes behind the business were built for an earlier stage. The firm modernizes those operations quickly, combining senior finance leadership with intelligent automation and analytics, so the finance function becomes an engine for the growth ahead rather than a drag on it.

Dave earned his MBA in Finance from Northern Arizona University's W. A. Franke College of Business. He lives in Phoenix with his wife of more than twenty years. Away from work, he's a golfer, a hiker, and a competitive bass angler.
